Work at height & rescue

The regulations do not define work at a height. It is up to the employer to determine whether there is a risk of falling from a height when carrying out a risk assessment. The French Labour Code specifies the rules to be followed for the design, layout and use of workplaces and for the design and use of equipment for working at height. Special rules apply to the building and public works sector and to certain categories of workers. INRS
